FAQ and troubleshooting
Connecting and syncing
Section titled “Connecting and syncing”My dashboard shows “—” instead of numbers
Section titled “My dashboard shows “—” instead of numbers”A dash means there is nothing measured yet. Right after connecting, MerQio is still syncing. Watch the progress bar at the top. If it stays empty, check Integrations and make sure the store shows Connected.
A change in WooCommerce did not show up in MerQio
Section titled “A change in WooCommerce did not show up in MerQio”The Connector plugin tells MerQio about every change within seconds. If a signal is lost, MerQio’s hourly check finds the change anyway, so it corrects itself within the hour. If it still does not appear, open Help.
The connection does not finish
Section titled “The connection does not finish”- Make sure WooCommerce is active and you are signed in to WordPress as an administrator or shop manager.
- Check that permalinks are not set to Plain in WordPress → Settings → Permalinks. The WooCommerce REST API needs pretty permalinks.
- Security plugins or a firewall can block the WooCommerce REST API. Allow requests to
/wp-json/. - Turn on the plugin’s debug log (see Connect your store) and send it to us with a Help request.
Does the plugin slow down my store?
Section titled “Does the plugin slow down my store?”No. It only sends a small signal when something changes, and does the work in the background. It runs no analysis on your site.
Segments and AI
Section titled “Segments and AI”Why did a product become “Dead”?
Section titled “Why did a product become “Dead”?”It had no sales in the last 90 days while it still had stock. You can change the number of days in Segments.
Does AI decide my segments or my numbers?
Section titled “Does AI decide my segments or my numbers?”No. Segments and every figure are calculated by fixed rules from your synced data. AI is only used to suggest what to do, and to answer questions in StoreBrain.
Will MerQio change my store without asking?
Section titled “Will MerQio change my store without asking?”No. Every action and every email waits for your approval in Approvals. Changes can be undone, except an email that was already sent.
Why are there no proposals?
Section titled “Why are there no proposals?”Proposals appear when products or customers move into a segment with AI turned on. Check the AI switches on the Segments page, and your plan’s AI allowance. You can also ask for one directly from Opportunities with Plan action.
Why does an action show “Observed” and not “Proven”?
Section titled “Why does an action show “Observed” and not “Proven”?”“Proven” needs a coupon code that was used in a real order. Price, title and stock changes are measured by comparing sales before and after, which shows what happened but cannot prove the change caused it. See Action Outcomes.
Your data
Section titled “Your data”Where is my data kept?
Section titled “Where is my data kept?”WooCommerce stays the main record of your store. MerQio keeps a synced copy to do its work. Each store’s data is kept in its own separate database space, apart from every other store. Store credentials are encrypted, and every signal from the plugin is signed.
What happens if I remove my store?
Section titled “What happens if I remove my store?”Remove in Integrations permanently deletes all of that store’s data from MerQio. Your WooCommerce store is not touched.
